  • June 2 = minimum 20 + Revisions from April 23
  • June 6-8 = minimum 25 + All revisions

TOTAL = *55

*For those who have taken MUS 354, we may use the most 15 songs for this project. On April 23, please provide an index that includes all the songs you will use in this assignment. Do not repeat the same song/chant from Level I.

Detailed explanation of the assignment:

This is an individual project. In this notebook you will collect the scores and analysis of 45 DIFFERENT pieces of repertoire (songs and chants) appropriate for the elementary music classroom. All the repertoire must be notated using Finale/Sibelius. The repertoire should be organized in alphabetical order.

You must also include:

  • an alphabetized list of the contents (titles) at the front of the notebook.
  • On the page following the content list, create two indexes, one for the melodic concepts ad one for the rhythmic concepts.
  • Above is the list of melodic and rhythmic concepts that must be represented in the index, along with the number of songs/chants you are required to collect for each concept. In your index, list each concept in order as listed above, followed by the title(s) of the song(s)/chant(s) you have chosen for the concept.
