B: Going on a Bear Hunt

Teachers, follow these steps when sharing the file with your students. To be more effective, you should videotape yourself teaching the song.

Instructions

Note: This chant is quite long. I divide the activity into i) five verses; or ii) the first half on the first day, then the rest second day.

Day 1: Step 1

1. Use flashcards to introduce different words and motions to the children.  Echo these words and imitate the motions.

2. Chant the first verse, ask children to imitate the motions.
3. Learn the chorus part.
4. Chant and perform the movements.

First Half



Step 2

1. Review the song with motions and pictures.

2. Drag the pictures into the boxes to match the lyrics. 

3. Open the SMART Learning Suite (click image below). Follow instructions.
